My most expensive piece of makeup.

My most expensive piece of makeup is my Clarins precious colours face powder I think it cost €50 + I'm not too sure .
I'm actually really sad about it though 'cause I hit pan and I'm preety sure it may have been discontinued. I've seen it for sale on eBay for 75USD. Which means I won't be repurchasing it. So now I'll have to find another perfect powder. Does anyone else feel if it ain't broke don't fix it concerning makeup cause I used the same brand of foundation for three years, I just HATE change. It's my quirk.

Earliest makeup memory's

My earliest makeup memory would probably be a vanity I had when I was three or four I think. It had a sticker mirror and it was bright bink and purple plastic with a little stool and it came with a set of plastic beauty tools like a hairdryer and comb and fake makeup and perfume bottles which I guarded with my life. I had a few bits of actual makeup in there which I used to make myself look like a "princess". It used to be kept right next to my kitchen set.

A happy memory

My happiest memory now that I look back on it was probably getting the madra. We got him at a time where everyone was morning but he made everyone smile I guess.. It might sound like a cliché but when you find your dog you will know. I was looking at fluffy poms and huskies on done deal when my mother found an advert and decided we should look at him and his siblings. I wasn't keen lets just say. When we met the breeder she was handing around these puppies and I just looked at mase and said that one.

All I'll say is that's the best 100 quid I've ever spent.

Shopping habits

Okay my shopping habits are scarves and anything Newlook. If you scroll down to my #Sbbc day nine post, you'll clearly see that well.. I love scarves. Penny's is actually the death of me with that wall of scarves and all. Actually saving money in general is hard for me.. Anyway back to the topic, my problem with Newlook is that they have an online store. So now I don't have to go get dressed and drive into town, I can just sit on the couch and order what I like, which to be fair isn't the best for my purse. I love new looks range of colab designers, especially "Blue Vanilla" which I think have also colaborated with A-wear.
I was actually looking through their website earlier and found this gorgeous dress which I have a similar design in Cobalt blue. Possibly the only thing that put me off buying this dress is the fact that I'm not Scottish and I'm not a trend sheep. (No offence to anyone that is )
Mine:

Have a great Arthur's day and stay safe.

Resolutions

So my resolution which will I will be attempting again on the first is to get healthy, loose weight and get fit. I started jogging in March but gave up at the start of June as that's when I went on holidays, after that my fitness went out the window. Now I want to give up that January freak out to start getting trim for summer and then tossing it come autumn. I'm on a mission to get fit and stay fit.

A hot topic.

This counts right ?

My favourite quote.

My favourite quote is actually in Irish strangely enough. It's "Níl aon thintean mar do thintean féin " or in English "There's no fireplace like your own fireplace" or in other words "there's no place like home ".

Perfume post.

My ultimate favourite perfume is the green apple DKNY be delicious eu de toilet. I also love the mark Jacobs dot perfume but it ran out *Cry* .
My favourite colour and smell is green apple. It's just great. I recieved the larger one as a Christmas present two years ago.

8 products under ten euro.

So starting off my first under ten euro product is the Boots natural collection watergaurd mascara in brown. It costs €2.45 and it is by far my favourite mascara. I can't speak well type highly enough of this. You'd think at €2.50 it'd be crappy quality but it's not.

I still have my natural hair colour but back in April I picked this up on a whim. You get a lot of product (I dumped at least half the container away but that's probably because I have short hair). Can someone please tell me why L'oréal doesn't package the conditioner from their dye packs and sell it as a large bottle. It makes my hair really soft and I constantly think about buying a box of hair dye just for the conditioner. I bought it for €8.00 in my local pharmacy. I did reapply it in June but it's still looking fresh.

I know the packaging says that you can use it as a two in one but I prefer it as a mask. It's a light grey clay and it works a charm for me. It costs under 8€ .

I've actually already done a review on this. It's a lovely nude colour and it is a good formula. Two coats are all you need. I got it for €6.

I think everyone and anyone knows about this product by now. It's just amaze beans. It costs €5.49 from boots.
The st.moriz tanning mouse gives a nice golden colour and I got it for €10.00 in a gift set in penny's/primark.

Rimmel Glam' eyes quad shadow, I own it in Stars of grace and smokey purple. It costs €8.85 a piece.
I love these things. I own the maybeline 24 hour colour tattoo in everlasting navy.

What's in my handbag ?

Well starting off here's my handbag, well satchel really.
It's fairly new and I've got to say a bit of a steal for 6€ on sale at tesco I do believe.
It's not that big, but It does the job.
Inside:
It's messy but in my defence show me a handbag that isn't ?
In the front compartment there is:
Kleenex (interesting)
A coverstick from the natural collection.
My hayband as I suffer from really bad hay-fever.
A hair clip thingymajig.

In the other compartment there is:
My hot pink river island clutch/purse.
A brown waterproof mascara from the natural collection.
A foundation from the natural collection.
A blusher from the natural collection.
(I promise this isn't sponsored by boots, I was in Wilton earlier and got carried away)
Yves st rocher 360 length black mascara.
Face brush.
Blender brush/fluffy brush.
My elephant bracelet from Newlook.
Hammer ruby eyeshadow compact.
Volumising mála (still annoyed by that)
Lipgloss it's isadora I think.
Clarins Precious colours face powder compact.
Isadora gleaming wet and dry eye shadow in frosty seashell.
My keys are usually in there too.
If you're wondering where my phone is, so am I.
It is a clutch so I thought I might aswell.
About 3€ worth of coppers. ;)
Gold coins.
Train ticket
Arts and Hobbys card.
Two I tunes vouchers.
A hmv voucher, from before they went bust still has 20 quid on it.
And a library card.
Last but not least a photo of me as a baby. (It seems vain doesn't it ? A well)

If I had €250 to spend on myself what would I buy.

Benefit makeup! I love love love benefit.
Or maybe food I like food.
Or that Marc Jacobs scarf.

10 Desert island items.

So the gist is if I was stuck on a desert island, my makeup bag got lost what 10 items would I choose to repurchase.
1:maybeline concealer

2:gosh liquid foundation
3:yves st rocher waterproof 360 mascara

4:naked pallet
5:red lipstick

6:isadora pink lipstick
7:Rimmel stay glossy nude lipgloss(even though I HATE lipgloss)
8:baby wipes
9:Clarins face pallet -powder thingy (built in mirror aha! )

10:brush set
So basically I listed the only makeup I wear now.

My wish list.

My ultimate thing I want are louboutins. Am I gonna get them in the next ten years ? Probably not unless I win the lotto. Until then I'll continue to lust after them while wandering around Brown Thomas.
I really want the super lustrous lipstick in cherries in the winter. I might pick one up during the weekend. I just think its the perfect shade.
MarcJacobs scarves + skulls = Amazeballs. Nuff said.
I actually own this but it's about to run out so I reaaly want to pick this up again.
The Alice in wonderland urban decay box-pallet. I know it's circa 2010 but I'm after falling in love with the colours "Underland", "Alice", "Oraculum" and "Drink Me, Eat Me" but I can't find anything like them so if anyone knows some dupes can you tweet me @TheBlondeLifeBB ;).
The super Mario converse <3 .
Last but not least these but without the dirt.

Beauty things I suck at.

Okay there are probably twenty plus things I suck at but I'm going to try to short-list it to 5.
1: Keeping track of my brushes. I don't know why but even though I have like four brush cases I always loose my brushes although some have been bad quality I must say a good few have been mac brushes. It's like bobby pins but with brushes.
2: Choosing foundation colours. I think I'm just incapable of getting the right colour I'm always one or two shades out. I've given up on foundation so now I'm using concealer and powder. Actually I do have my perfect like winter shade which is the gosh liquid in porcelain.
3: Applying blush: I look like an absolute fool if I even attempt to put blush on my face. It reminds me of this, no clue why it just does.
4: Eyeliner. Unless its my waterline I'm useless. I can only do one eye good.
5: Taking makeup off. I know, I know, it's a really bad habit but I don't wear alot on weekdays so It tends to disappear on its own accord. Still it's supposed to be awful for your skin so it's something ill have to change.

Where I get inspiration and the post I'm proudest of .

Well first things first my favourite post I've done Is the autumn fashion one mainly because fashion is where my heart is. Secondly l get inspiration from the seasons, or when I'm shopping I might see a nail varnish colour and think that'd be a great colour fabric and then I'd end up planning a DIY. I can get inspiration from alot of things really. Other blogs are a good source of inspiration, now I don't mean click on a blog and basically take their ideas. I mean look at how they post, are they really friendly? or do they post business like, How do people react to their posts ? Especially ones on controversial subjects, that sort of thing. Also two things to consider when your looking at someone else's blog are,
1: Don't be cut-throat or downright rude to someone if you get a pang of jealousy when looking at their blog, blogs aren't supposed to be identical that's the beauty of it.
2: If you see a really creative post and think "I should do that " don't do it unless you have their permission because it could've taken them hours to come up with it.

A craft project.

So I did this ages ago (around Christmas maybe) and now it's too big for me so I'll probably be making another cut-out shirt in the near future.

(Sorry I couldn't help putting in the dog not being helpful)

Anyway I found a tutorial from this lady's blog Here .The tutorial is in video form but I'm sure if you looked around you could find it in text form. All you need is an old preferably loose t-shirt, scissors, cardboard and a pencil. I think it's a great way to recycle an old t-shirt and if sculls aren't your thing use a different pattern like ribs or even a butterfly. I wore mine with a lace bandeau underneath during the summer but it'd be a good layering piece for winter too.

Life advice I'd advise to one of my younger family members.

Don't take criticism so hard. You need to remind yourself that this family's roots are based at slagging. Don't dish out what you can't take. That's about it and nana and grandad makes a good roast dinner. If you really want to do something do it no matter what anybody else says about you.
Ps. If someone says you're not normal don't bother with them, I'd rather be my weird self than a fake "normal" person.

How my blog got its name.

Well I don't have some amazing story to go with my name choosing. I chose the name because I am a blonde and the blog is about me and my life so I just put two and two together and decided on "The Blonde Life". Sorry this isn't interesting but a well ;)

Favourite clothing item.

Ok so my two favourite clothing items which I wear far too often I'd have to say are my Hawaiian print converse and my light blue high waisted skinny jeans from Newlook .
I got the jeans for 30€ in new look. I'm actually quite sad about them cause my but is now making them impossible to get on ( Tmi ? A well) So I'lll deffinately have to purchase a bigger size up, although they fit my legs perfectly.

I got the converse from my parents for my birthday and ill be honest I wear them nearly everyday.
I love the colour navy so I'm never stuck on what to wear with these runners. They are my first pair of sneaker style converse (my Beverly boots are my first ) .

SBBC Day Nine: Collecting/Incorporating colour.

Well you probably don't know this about me but I hoard scarves.. Like really bad. Lets just say I've more than 30. I don't know why but I feel like my outfits are never complete unless I've a scarf on me. Wether it's wrapped tightly around my neck, draped over my shoulders or even tied on the Handel of my bag, I just have to have it there. I love the colour navy so it's preety easy to inject colour into my everyday clothing.

Possibly the worst thing is that's not all of my scarves, the above is about 5/8 of the total.
Is there a rehab for this? 'cause honestly I think I've got a problem.

SBBC Day Eight: How to maintain healthy hair

So below are all three of the products I use to keep my hair in tip top shape. I use Timotei's Golden highlights shampoo and conditioner and I use lush's sweetie pie shower jelly.
First things first the shampoo and conditioner.
I have really fine and oily hair which leads to me washing it every second day. I don't us conditioner often because my hair is naturally soft (not bragging) but I ombré'd my hair back in march and the ends have been dry since so I do use conditioner now. Anyway I thought this would be a good shampoo as its blonde friendly and I must say my hair hasn't faded as some ombre's do. I use a lot of shampoo about a blob the size of a small water cracker.
Now the jelly.
I love lush's products they smell great, they look great and they're very friendly to the skin. I also love the fact that if you bring in a number of empty product containers you get a free product. My brother gave me this and the soap bar equivalent for my birthday. It smells like berry and coconut and its glittery and purple. It contains seaweed and on the container it says its great for your hair and it really is . Im pretty sure my soft hair is down to this and it's nearly gone so ill have to take a run into town to get more.
After using these products I blowdry my side curls straight.
I also use a thickening shampoo sometimes.
