7 Things I love about winter.

It's official it's winter, bar the whole November is the start of winter thing that I'm supposed to follow I actually have my own way. I hope ye're following me on what I'm saying. But anyway I never really accept the season unless I feel like its that season. I'm saying this out loud and I do admit I sound mental. Okay so unless I've got all the usual characteristics of winter I don't accept that it is winter, like it has to be cold ect. If you still have no clue about what I'm on about then I'm afraid you still won't in ten minutes time.

1:Cold weather.
This is a bit like marmite, you either love it or you hate it. I actually love cold weather, I'm starting to notice that it's getting cold around 5 pm because that's when I walk the Madra after school and I'll admit I am one of those people who although they love something they will complain about it like there is no tomorrow. Back to the weather, I've actually no clue why but I just love throwing on a tracksuit layering up and going outside in the freezing cold. I've just always been one of those people who'd rather be in a cold room than a hot room.
Lovely Irish weather.

2:Better skin.
I find that my skin on my face gets dryer which is a good thing for me personally because I've got normal-oily skin. So seeing as my skin gets dried up my acne and any other blemishes seem to disappear.

3:Winter clothing.
I love jumpers, skiny jeans, knee high boots, big coats, hoodies and all the other things that go with sinter clothing not to mention fluffy socks are a gift from heaven. It really is a bit of a confidence boost because you well Atleast I personally feel less self conscious about my body because everyone is in layers and nobody really knows what you look like underneath the two coats and three jumpers.

4:Dirty blonde-light brown hair
I am a natural blonde bar the ombré at the ends so during the summer I get natural highlights then in winter my hair gets darker.
Winter hair ^^^ trust me that was an unattractive picture not to mention the haircut. Appologies for the face exing
10 months later- Summer hair
maybe I should've taken a new photo, a well ill post it for the sake of my blog if I've got time tomorrow I'll take a better one and edit it in. Ye get the gist anyway.

5:Winter scarves
Okay I didn't include this in winter clothing as I probably should've but scarves are an accessory that holds the look of clothes together. I love thick knit scarves as much as I love normal scarves. Which Is why I've been wearing the same burgandy knit scarf from dunnes for two months.

6:Beanies
Once again these are accessories. I'm after really getting into the beanie/hat craze thing as it usually is during the colder months. I like them because the keep my easily cold ears warm and I never sit them on my forehead because that annoys the absolute life out of me.

7:Pepermint flavoured confectionary.
I love Pepermint so of course during the Christmas season everywhere stocks some form of Pepermint sweets my favourite of course are still candy canes. Pepermint in my opinion smells like Christmas and brings back early memories

Better stop at seven, it is my lucky number after all.

44 days til Christmas!!!! Would it be socially unacceptable to put up decorations now ? Maybe I'll wait til Atleast the end of november.

Insomnia and I

No this post isn't a recipe or another review or even anything to do with a proper blog post, it's about me and my insomnia (I know major shocker ? ). It's three am and I just can't sleep, my eyes are hanging and I'm falling asleep in the chair but as soon as I lie down I get a burst of energy and end up downstairs watching very bad tv once again.

Honestly it's getting on my nerves because I can't even concentrate I'm so tired so it's not like I could write my French letters or my Irish essay because after attempting the Irish one I swear it's like half Irish half random language my head made up :')

Like seriously right now there's a curtain making diy on tv and I'm actually watching it. I've tried watching videos on YouTube but they keep buffering and I don't have the patience to wait ten seconds to watch two seconds of film for twenty minutes.

The dog's in seventh heaven right now though because he's fast asleep on my lap, which never usually happens. He's usually at the end of my bed being odd.

Okay so tomorrow I can hardly do all my work tomorrow so now I'll have to do my French now and do the essay tomorrow but I've already got the plans done so it can't be majorly hard ? My only saving grace is the fact that my business accounts aren't due til Tuesday but I think I could do without home ec Monday, between getting asignments in on time and learning the mass amount of knowledge being drilled into us at the moment I've really got to buckle down and study for exams. Buh bye social life, well Atleast that shred of what I had left of one. I really wish I could fast forward to June and just get them over and done with, its agony constantly getting lectures about exams. They really were right back in August the teachers were telling us that the year would fly and that we need to study and of course everyone scoffed at the idea but after what feels like a day it's now November and I've got a month til exams and two and a half months until pre's then it's study study study until major exams on June 4th I believe which is also annoying as I will be sitting an exam for my birthday June 9th fingers crossed it's not something I hate *cough cough* home ec.

On a lighter note I'm redecorating my room next weekend and I shal be taking a trip to ikea for the first time ever! I'm still unsure what colour though. Actually I wanted black and then to get extremely bright accessories but that got vitoed. Does anyone know any colours besides yellow-orange-red which makes rooms seem smaller?. I know it's so strange question because most people are trying to make their rooms look brighter and bigger but I'm more of a cozy person so to say. I'm deffinately painting my floor black though to match my old fashioned black metal framed bed.

I've just suddenly realised how cold I actually am, it's absolutely freezing! I might turn on the heating... Nah it'd wake the whole house up.

If anyone is up reading this I hope my weirdness has entertained you.

Review: On the spot foundation- Seventeen

I was passing through boots looking for a last minute foundation and I saw this and thought it sounded interesting and for only €8.45 I believe, also seeing as I was nowhere ne'er a Gosh counter I said why the hell not ? Maybe I should've thought twice.
It claims to aid in keeping skin clear and all it's done for me Is that it's broken my skin out even more. But I have sensitive skin so that could be the reason why. It is in fair which I believe is the lightest they have. It is a full coverage foundation and it has SPF15 which is good I suppose but we hardly need it here in Ireland at the moment, well Atleast here in Cork  :
Anyway back to the review.
It is a pump-cap lid, which I quite like and it evenly distributes the product and one pump gives this amount of product(see below)
When I first blended it in it was my exact colour match, then it oxidized like hell and I looked like an ompaloompa. I think if they did like an extra fair it may have oxidized into my actual skintone.
As for coverage I didn't even need a concealer so on that hand it was amazing.
Would I buy it again ? Maybe if they made a new formula I would.
As they say you get what you pay for so in general I'm not that annoyed bar my skin breakout.
